The root of the problem resides in the area
of language processing. The brain is not
effectively passing information from the left
hemisphere of the brain (language center) to
the right hemisphere (conceptual
processing).

A right brained learner requires a visual
image in order to experience true meaning.
This type of learner will struggle if there are
too many "missing pictures" within a reading
passage. If the student is missing a visual
image for a new concept, key vocabulary
word, or the passage contains too many
abstract words (such as "a", "the", "of", "is",
etc.) a right brained thinker will be incapable
of building an accurate visual image,
stopping the brain from experiencing
meaning and understanding.

Our tutors help your child develop powerful
visual learning strategies, allowing the
student to discover and correct missing
pictures. Learning becomes faster, more
effective, and more deeply meaningful.
Visual Learners

Does your child...

Need concepts to be "re-taught"

Not understand written directions

Not follow through when
told to do something

Mentally zone out while reading silently

How a
Visual Learner
Experiences
Words

A visual learner may be able to
read a passage aloud, but he
will only "think" with the words
that make strong pictures.

For example, your child reads:

A visual learner will only retain
comprehension of the words that
make a strong picture, thus he
thinks:

The comprehension test asks:

Your child incorrectly answers:
"The dog ran through
the house."
"dog...ran...house"
"Where is the dog?"
"In the house."
